Th' Legendary Shack Shakers @ Camden Underworld 23rd April 2012

Back in April I went along to photograph Th' Shack Shakers for The Independent Voice e-zine. Alas no writers were free to accompany me, so I had to pen the review too. You can read that below. I think I'll stick to taking the pictures.....

Badges!

WooHoo! I finally got some WSFR Badges made up by the rather awesome Pete from thrash band Kremated.

If you or your band wants their own badges made up give Pete a shout at Odd/Even

Who is Martin Hobby?

Yes, this is me. Yes, its a real tattoo.

I get asked quite a lot how I got into photography, and recently I recieved a request via Facebook from someone who is studying photography at college asking if I could do a little write up on how I got started, I came up with this, not sure if its exactly what she meant (Sorry Dominique) but its an honest biography of my careers so far.....

Event Photographer of the year 2011

I am The SWPP Event photographer of the Year 2011.

Judges comment: “The emotion of the image was caught at just the right moment and makes the viewer wish that they were there.”

Seth Lakeman & Jackie Oates @ The Orchard Theatre, Dartford, 3rd December 2011

Earlier in the month, I got the chance to see and photograph Seth Lakeman for Wasted! Magazine, here's my review....

Devil May Rise - Sneak Peak

On Saturday I headed into Essex to for a shoot with Metalcore band Devil May Rise.  Here is a quick taster of the session, I'll post a few more when the band have chosen their favourites!

Thinking of Chicken....

I was walking on the Dartford marshes, near where I live a couple of weeks back and I found this amazing location. I believe it’s what is left of an old fireworks factory.
I knew I had to do a shoot over there!

Band Quest 2010

I’ve been shooting loads of bands recently for a local promoter under the banner of Band Quest 2010. Follow the link for more info. It’s an awesome idea and the overall winner gets a chance to play at the Bloodstock festival later in the year.

Wonk Unit, Tyrannosaurus Alan, The Traitors

Starting off the nights proceeding is the poet laureate of punk, Alex Brindle, playing an acoustic set.
